The Department of Grants & Community Development is the lead entity in preparing and implementing the City’s federal entitlement grant programs and also supports the sourcing and submission of competitive grants for other City departments.

The total proposed FY2026 operating budget for Department of Grants & Community Development is $2,252,565. This is an increase of $856,609 (+27.6%) from the previous year.
The number of authorized full-time equivalent positions (jobs) is proposed to decrease from 46.5 to 37 (-20.4%).
