City Council

The City Council is the chief policy-making body for the City of Atlanta.

The council staff, including the Municipal Clerk, had their budget briefing on Wednesday, June 7, at 1:00pm. (video | slides)

The total proposed operating budget for the City Council is $12,869,359. This is an increase of $414,327 (+3.3%) from the previous year. The number of authorized positions (jobs) is proposed to increase from 48 to 51 (+6.3%).
