Fiscal Year 2026 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) Operating Budget
The Department of City Planning leads urban design, review, planning, construction plan approval, code compliance, zoning enforcement and regulation, and affordable housing policy; provides support to Neighborhood Planning Units (NPUs); and works with independent community organizations, residents, and the private sector to provide policy guidance assisting supportive community growth.
Budget Overview
The total proposed FY2026 operating budget for the Department of City Planning is $26,918,174. This is an increase of $348,667 (+1.3%) from the previous year.
The number of authorized full-time equivalent positions (jobs) is proposed to increase from 341.2 to 351.7 (+3.1%).
