The Office of the Public Defender provides criminal defense services to indigent defendants who are accused of violating City ordinances and misdemeanor traffic laws.

Budget Overview

The total proposed operating budget for the Office of the Public Defender is $6,058,127. This is a increase of $573,565 (+9.5%) from the previous year.

The number of authorized full-time equivalent positions (jobs) is proposed to increase from 45 to 50 (+11.1%).
