Fiscal Year 2026 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) Operating Budget

The Department of Transportation plans, designs, constructs, and maintains the city’s streets, sidewalks, and bridges and coordinates with key partners including the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA).

Budget Overview

The total proposed FY2026 operating budget for Department of Transportation is $58,643,746. This is an increase of $6,822,516 (+11.6%) from the previous year.

The number of authorized full-time equivalent positions (jobs) is proposed to increase from 376.27 to 425.65 (+13.1%).
